During the 9th international Field Robot Event from June 30 to July 2, the participation of the Agrifac sponsored RoBATic team has been very successful. The team consisting of five students Agrotechnology at the Wageningen University in the Netherlands finished in 2nd place! In the weed-it and advanced assignment, the RoBATic team even took first place! The event is a competition between field robots of participating teams from Universities all over Europe. The robots have to do some tasks in a cornfield, like: navigation through the rows, turning on the headland and detection of weed (artificial plants). The robots have to do all this tasks autonomous without any human intervention or help.
