Steenwijk, 17.05.2010 - Agrifac introduced several innovations on its sugar beet harvesters last year. Looking ahead to the 2010 harvesting season, Agrifac is now working on two new harvesting systems and a completely new Big Six beet harvester.

4 E's - EFFICIENCY – minimum root damage, large capacities
Beet harvesting is all about efficiency. Minimum root damage and optimal scalping are crucial in optimising the tonnage / ha. Agrifac fully recognises this and found a solution with the new ExcenterPlus lifting system - specially developed for harvesting at a high driving speed with a large capacity. The newly designed lifters are controlled by a new depth control system for perfect depth control in combination with the rotary intake. The depth control is controlled by wheels that enable clean and complete lifting of the beet at high driving speeds. The - also new – rotary intake prevents the beet from escaping and feeds the lifting turbines with a continuous flow of beet.
4 E's – ECONOMY + ECO – increased durability and decreased fuel consumption
The new lifters can run at lower speeds resulting in a further optimised durability of the overall drive line. Not only will the maintenance requirement decrease, but also so will the fuel consumption.
4 E's – EFFICIENCY – fast and optimal cleaning
New on both Quatro and Big Six are the enlarged lifting turbines measuring no less than 1550 mm: an increase of more then 28 %! Not only can beet be harvested at higher driving speeds, but also the cleaning
capacity is vastly increased. In most circumstances, the lifting turbines can operate at lower speeds too. The large openings between the front wheels and above the cleaning turbines maximise the possible driving speeds and prevent beet from clogging up.
4 E's – ERGONOMY – operation and monitoring
A newly developed depth control system, operating with wheels significantly improves the depth control. The system requires less attention from the operator so he can completely focus on the harvesting process. The Quatro & Big Six will both have the newest Claas cab for superior comfort.
Operating and monitoring of the machine is done with the new Agrifac designed CAN-bus based EcoTronicPlus touch screen system. The EcoTronicPlus system ensures optimal interaction between the operator, machine functions, engine management and the monitoring and diagnostics of the complete machine
4 E'S – new RotoLiftPlus lifting system & new generation Big Six
Agrifac is currently developing another completely new harvesting system. This system, called RotoLiftPlus, will be launched in early September. Along with this launch, a new generation Big Six will also be introduced.
Several European contractors have already shown their confidence in the new Agrifac RotoLiftPlus lifting system by signing contracts for new Agrifac sugar beet harvesters with RotoLiftPlus.
